Congratulations to Shayan Bahmani on being selected as the inaugural recipient of the Rotary Means Business Patron’s Entrepreneurial Scholarship Award funded by the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation. The award was determined by The Rotary District 9455 Youth Committee and Shayan, is the first recipient of this 3-year funded scholarship.
The scholarship will enable Shayan to undertake entrepreneurship training at the Centre for Entrepreneurial Research and Innovation (CERI) and access the entire course content as well as mentoring and office accommodation.
CERI's philosophy and overarching culture is closely aligned to the core values of Rotary and the late Stan Perron. CERI embraces, expects, and instils a “mindfulness of others philosophy” emphasising the importance of integrity, ethical conduct in life and business and the importance of respect in saying and doing. Stan Perron was known for his commitment to ethical behaviour during his lifetime.
“We acknowledge that it is a great opportunity for a suitable applicant to attend the Centre for Entrepreneurial Research & Innovation (CERI), installing integrity, ethical conduct in all aspects of life, respect and similar core values to that of Rotary.” Elizabeth Perron
Shayan is a recent high school graduate from Perth Modern School. He has numerous experiences in small business start-ups that he’s run and help to run from the ages of 14 - 16. These include a dropshipping website for audio products and working alongside an online clothing enterprise as a business developer.
“By being in a professional environment surrounded with individuals learning about the mindset of entrepreneurship, it will greatly help me develop into the professional and academic I aspire to become by both learning from those around me and from the information and experience of the course itself.” Shayan Bahmani, scholarship recipient
