We can't roll sixes forever: what comes after the resources boom? Charlie Bass, TEDxPerth

Updated: May 28, 2019

Australia’s resources have benefitted many, including businessman Charlie Bass, who has a warning for us all. If we forget to nurture our new researchers and entrepreneurs we’ll be banking on rolling six after six – and while the consequences of inaction will be catastrophic, we all have the power to tackle the problem head on. Charlie is Founder and Chairman of the charitable organisation CERI, the Centre for Entrepreneurial Research & Innovation. CERI works with post-graduates and researchers across all WA universities and research institutes to instil an entrepreneurial mindset and provide the mentoring and knowledge that will foster a start-up culture in high-knowledge and high-value industries in WA. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
